Edwin M. Schott, O.D.![]() Daniel E. Schott, O.D.![]() I am the third generation Dr. Schott in our practice. I graduated from Port Allegany High School in 1996, and then went on to Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA. While at Ursinus, I was a 4 year letterman on the golf team. I graduated from Ursinus in 2000 with a B.S. majoring in Chemistry-Premed with a Biochemistry minor. From there, I enrolled in the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. During my 4 years at PCO, I received clinical honors marks in primary care, pediatrics and low vision rehabilitation. My externships included stints at Luke AFB in Glendale, AZ and Laurel Eye Clinic in Brookville, PA. I graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in May 2004. I currently oversee our InfantSee program, which provides free eye exams to any child less then 1 year of age. I was also recently awarded a position on the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Medical Staff and I am director of their Vision Independence Program which started in June 2008. The Vision Independence Program provides rehabilitation and counseling services to patients who have permanently lost their vision. I am married to Christa Kirby, originally from Coudersport, Pa, and we have two children, Olivia, age 3 and Alex, age 1.
